2005 ProgramThis year's Science Horizons students were given the opportunity to explore engineering, food science, and food chemistry. They learned about animal anatomy and animal husbandry and got a behind-the scenes look at the Rosamond Gifford Zoo. The students were also introduced to the basic tools for understanding the science of fire, visited the Upstate Medical Center's OR and ER, and participated in water tests at Upstate Freshwater Institute. Their other activities during Science Horizons week included studying fossils and learning about aviation, rockets, and satellite imaging.
