Science Horizons encourages students' interest in science and technology by exposing them to a variety of scientific disciplines. It may also help guide their choices of future study and perhaps pique their interest in pursuing a science-related career. The program enables students with similar interests to interact with each other and with specialists in various scientific fields. And it fosters the qualities that help make a good scientist or researcher, namely critical thinking, problem-solving skills and the ability to work in groups toward common goals.
