Talent and Education Development Center (TEDCenter) at
Syracuse University
The Talent and Education Development Center provides skill building and assessment services for students, job seekers, and incumbent workers. The core services of the Center are the University College Online Work Readiness Program and the Syracuse University Certificate of Workplace Competency.
The English Language Institute
The English Language Institute offers long- and short-term courses in academic English to international students, scholars, and professionals. There are five proficiency levels. It also designs tailor-made courses for discipline specific needs on a contract basis. For example, in the summer, it offers business English for global executives. Classes are intensive and range from 20 to 30 hours per week.
Noncredit TESOL Workshop
This workshop is for experienced foreign language teachers who want to retool their skills so they can reach new audiences, including executives, academics, factory and hospitality workers, and government officials. The workshop combines classroom and online instruction with teaching practice sessions and homework.
